Performances of blues, instrumental, and vocal music and an interview with Richard ("Big Boy") Henry, an African American blues singer and guitarist, from Beaufort, Carteret County, N.C. Henry plays an electric guitar in a style blending Piedmont blues picking with city and delta blues influences. Themes of the songs are the despair of love and a celebration of women. Henry is also interviewed about his days as a menhaden fisherman and galley cook. There are short, informal performances of two shanties from that period.
